Songs and arrangements

...I've been writing vocal arrangements in many different styles for over 30 years now and my library continues to grow. And I've had so many requests for my arrangements that I've finally gotten around to starting this website, primarily for that purpose. (Some arrangements can't be made available because of copyright restrictions. I have still included them here with links to where they can be heard or where recordings can be purchased. I'm working to get copyrighted songs published where possible--feel free to contact me
to inquire about the status of a particular song.)

Below is a listing of several
arrangements and recordings~~~~~~
Lots of Christmas, and a few others, too.
Happy Listening!

CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY

Since the 1980's the Carolers have been appearing in Sun Valley Idaho during the holidays. (If you haven't been to Sun Valley Idaho yet, start planning your trip...you'll be glad you did!)  They perform nightly for two weeks during the holidays throughout the Sun Valley village.  This has given rise to a whole batch of Christmas Carols that allow for a variety of voices and settings.  For performability, carols rate anywhere from “medium easy" to "advanced" difficulty with tight harmonies and fairly complex ensemble work. Additional considerations:

      ·      Carols are arranged to be sung a cappella.

      ·      Carols generally begin with one pitch to eliminate waiting for                         everyone to find their correct note.

      ·      Carols are slightly shorter than normal which allows for more                         spontaneity in non traditional performance settings.

      ·      Carols are arranged with rich harmonies and interesting varieties                      to avoid a typical ‘4-part hymn’ sound.

Here are some other arrangements not found on the above CDs...

Christmas..... Vocal Arrangements

with Handbells

There are some wonderful handbell arrangements out there but not very many for Handbells choirs combined with "singing" choirs.  Here are a few that I've done. They are primarily designed for groups of 12 or more singers with access to a minimum two octave set of Old-English style handbells. We use them both in concert settings and carried by the individual singers in “pouches” to play spontaneously in a variety of other settings. If you don't see what you're looking for here, contact me! I may have it and if not I can arrange it for you!

“Angels We Have Heard on High”     Beautiful and angelic, great results for any group with this one.  (sacred/medium-easy) (as recorded on Sun Valley Carolers “Happy Holidays”)Purchase now through

“I Wonder When He Comes Again”    Reflective, sacred text with beautiful Christmas message. (as recorded on Sun Valley Carolers “Happy Holidays”)

“It Must Have Been the Mistletoe”      A wonderful and romantic holiday song by Justin Wilde, this is about as beautiful a combination of voices and handbells that you’ll find. Audiences love it.  (slow/medium difficult) (as recorded on Sun Valley Carolers “Go Tell IT”; sound clip above)

 $15.00

“Silent Night”              A perfect combination of a cappella vocals and handbells--richly rewarding. Can begin with narrated text from Luke. (sacred/medium) (as recorded on Sun Valley Carolers “Go Tell IT”) Purchase now through

 $15.00

“Silver Bells”                                                                      Of course, “Silver Bells” with handbells and vocals. A light and refreshing rendition. (As recorded on our newly released CD "Time for a Carol"--sound clip above)

“When Christmas Comes to Town”                               Stays true to the reflective mood of the Polar Express movie, lush harmonies abound. (As recorded on our newly released CD "Time for a Carol"--sound clip above)

These next five arrangements  can be heard on Vocalocity's "Harmonic Fuel" CD (their website--give 'em a listen and buy their cd!)

“Everything”                The Michael Buble' Classic--I loved this song when I first heard it. Totally reminded me of Art Garfunkle singing "Waters of March" (sorry, that dates me)

“Brighter Than Sunshine”                A cappella twist of the Aqualung hit.

“The Climb”                 Made famous by Miley Cyrus--a good message too.

“Accidentally in Love”                Where did they come up with the name "Counting Crows", anyway?

“Wake Me Up Before You Go Go”                Wham's "Jitterbug"... remade again!
